My Journey at Central Care Clinic
Location: Charlotte, NC
In June 2016, I had the opportunity to work at a doctor’s office at Central Care Clinic, located in the heart of Charlotte, South Carolina.
My primary role was to develop strategies to increase revenue and attract new patients. To achieve this, I proposed a brand refresh, starting with a redesigned logo that was more welcoming and easily recognizable. Next, I implemented a step-by-step plan to streamline the appointment scheduling process, making it clearer and more efficient. Additionally, I introduced bundled family care plans, such as a 5-visit package for $199, allowing patients to share their visits with children or family members instead of paying $55 per individual consultation. This strategy not only generated immediate revenue but also encouraged patient loyalty by offering significant savings. Since most of our patients did not have health insurance, this solution provided them with more financial security and peace of mind. Within six months, we successfully sold over 200 of these care packages.

To further boost patient acquisition, I designed promotional flyers offering a $20 referral bonus for existing patients, while new patients also received a $20 discount. This initiative brought in nearly 150 new customers.
I also proposed a raffle giveaway featuring practical household prizes like rice cookers and vacuum cleaners, creating an opportunity to engage with patients beyond medical care. The clinic hosted a warm and friendly prize distribution event, where the doctor personally attended and listened to patient feedback.
Together with the doctor and my colleagues, we were delighted to see how these efforts made a positive impact—providing patients with accessible and efficient care.
This experience deepened my understanding of customer needs and expectations. It also reinforced my expertise in UX/UI design, as I applied user-centric thinking to optimize both the clinic’s branding and patient experience.
